TRUMP vs OBAMA

A matchup that would in ideal political terms be far from reality; two giant personalities, two of America’s greatest leaders. President Donald Trump and President Barack Obama. The former a first career businessman turn politician and the latter a first black US president. The former an established republican, the latter a re-known democrat. For matters of advocacy, two different men yet for matters of resolution seemingly very similar. Both representatives of an America transiting with turbulence yet experiencing pinnacle achievement.

First comes the latter, President Barack H Obama, an accredited lawyer and politician getting to his zenith with the 2008 victory in the Democratic party. Barack Obama was a fan favourite – legendary, historic, you name it :- a much well distinguished orator but more importantly to the black American community, a panacea for the golden struggle that has gone on so long eventually reaping, the long overdue struggle and travailing turmoil against slavery and the phenomena of the black man playing second fiddle. In an instant America achieved racial parity in undespicable fashion; for everything that the “Martin Luther King Jr” had surrendered his life for, president Barack Obama was the culmination.

His two electoral victories against senators John McCain in 2008 and Mitt Romney in 2012 were hands down convincing, earned every vote and made it worth every penny. With the fantastic manner in which he executed his domestic policy, we can posit that there has not been any American presidential elect so well suited for office as Obama was. He absolutely loved the job, fancied the spotlight realm and being no stranger to the podium, he was a man for the moment. Barack Obama’s eight year reign as POTUS was a smóoth ride, a victory ride, evidence of an America that has chosen progress over obstinacy, evidence of an America that had arrived by gaining an upper hand on a previously insurmountable crippling vice that is racism. He was an absolutely remarkable feat for America on the world stage. He executed office with excellence; domestic policy was astonishing and for a first time first black head of state probably got the fairest side of the modern day critics.

They – the USA in a moment stood out as the single top-notch democracy for the alleviated levels of transparency that had continuously been demonstrated but even more so for the indespensable value attached to the most pedestrian American citizen.

President Barack Obama’s name still resounds world-wide in auditoriums and  conferences; a living legend so it seems; a political acronym through whom a great country took a step forward never to look back.

Then comes the former, President Donald Trump; a personality pre-eminent in business leadership and administration, over the top successful, rich and right; President Donald Trump prior to political indulgence was worth an estimated lumpsome of $3.7billion USD (Forbes 2016); today’s the wealthiest American president to walk into office. With his accumulated wealth and years of experience as a leader in business, what the current POTUS brings to office is a cordial presence, a serene mature head for a perspective on trivial matters. At 70 plus years, he is one of the most senior occupants of the white house, a feat that is unseemingly remarkable; for America and for the world a much sought after and necessary presence.

As concerns American foreign policy, Donald Trump in his initial period as chief commander has procured an understanding with middle-eastern leaders following what could be described as a long haul volatile relationship; his understanding, evaluation and policy formulation has been pivotal predicated on the single aspect of maturity that the draws along with him to the office. President Donald Trump has been collected and calm on approach to different agendas and in so doing has managed to restore a sort of protective hedge over the US; a sure sublime level of respect. His address is not so alluring like his predecessor but means everything he says; his words not so sharp but action imperative. His maturity has made him a much likeable personnel on the global stage. For his few encounters President Donald Trump has been hasty in his friendliness with leaders of Russia, Saudi-Arabia, Germany and even North Korea.. whose sturbborn fleet leader Kim Jong Un… has surprisingly offered President Trump an occassional ear throughout their meetings on nuclear material. This was in no manner Barack Obama’s favourable suitability.

President Trump has also probably had the heavier share of the presidential critics. From the female accusers stating claims of rape, assault and alleged past affairs to the very recent impeachment investigations daring to threaten his time in office; he has been on the fire side receiving end of the “dems” and had so much more to handle regarding opposing politicians.

Yess definitely for his victory against another much well re-known Democrat, senator and former first lady Hillary Clinton, the man was outstanding; and for a first time political entrant and one of America’s biggest socialites, the man has been remarkable.
