RELIGION FUSION
As diverse as the race and tribes of the world, such is the ideology of religion; the congruing aspects of the acknowledgement, belief and surbordinance toward a confiding superior in existence or that was in existence at a certain point in time. Religion is a topic most fascinating, confusing for a few as matters of perception or origins but undoubtedly a powerful theme worldwide for the masses seeking sectoral accustomization. A global population statistic giving an account of 7 billion, we have this split up into about 6 major commonly practised world religions all synchronized; thus evidencing unity amongst the human race like has never been before. A closer scrutiny of Africa and Asian regions for their dense populations reveals innumerable cultures and traditions in existence; more than other world parts. Precisely about 4200 sects are in existence some major some minor. All fused together in a manner; there’s absolutely no refuting to the magnitude of significance possessed by the theme of religion; palpable impact on livelihoods and work-life trajectories allover.
For a thematic subject, religion is so enormous that even the peripheral sect (those who choose to deny the existence of a supreme being) is posited as a religious sect of its own in atheism. Therefore if the choice to believe or the refusal thereof to acknowledge the existance of God or gods is counted for a belief and a sect; then it’s definitely a matter which if tabled is inexcusable and inescapable. Somewhat and somehow everybody has got an account, a reasoning as the old story goes, everybody stands for something, those that stand for nothing stand for something; every nation stands for something, those that stand for nothing stand for something.
With a very pedegogical history and a following of 2.4billion people of the 7billion, the Christian religion is the largest most practised religion in the nation’s of the world. The smallest world religion influencing just 7% of the global population which is about 52million people is Buddhism.
In between of the two extremes are the religions of Judaism, Atheism, Hinduism, etcetra covering up the rest of the global population.
Christianity as the world’s most re-known sect does not command a massive following without reason. Popularised for its much known much rehearsed executive practice of “prayer” and a penultimate belief in a “victory and goodness” that surpasses “death and suffering”. without any randomness or anonymity the religion has proved a most attractive, exciting and for the ever growing hyper modern 21st century age very practical. The “christians” can do anything and everything. They do believe that there’s no impossibility or limits whatsoever in this life with their God. The christian religion has led on somany and thousands carry testament to the power of the faith in their lives. The religion whose initial basis is a foundation of a famous saviour who overcame death and a God who created humanbeings to live life as a journey toward eventual retribution in fellowship with the creator of humankind has captured hearts and minds of some well prominent figures around the world; among which non more prominent than the head of the catholic church – Pope Francis as a most influential figure. For its easy approach and popularity, it is the most pedestrian of the 6 major religions of the world. Evidently much of Europe succumbs to the christian faith for a way of life, sub-saharan Africa and incredibly large parts of the Americas. 34% of the world is christian.
In a contrast that is diverging, the least popular religion world-wide; Buddhism is spreadout mainly in areas of Asia(south east Asia) – Sri-lanka, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. With its original founding in ancient India, these “Buddhists” – as is the term of reference to the faith carriers – may be considered far from having an impact on global perspectives because of their cultural trends exhibited in a manner vastly differing from the “friendly” and “associative” nature of the “Jesus” followers. Buddhism – a minimised group but nevertheless one of the accountable sects of the world.
So faith’s and beliefs are all over; a fusion that repletes Earth’s stratosphere; a fusion rooted in the traditions, cultures and ancient practices of humanity over centuries. Which religion or sect that one may ascribe to or choose to follow for those that make the choice is not much the significant factor but the rather striking aspect of being apart of a global circus that allows us human identity, dignity for some and sanity for a large majority. Yess this religious epiphany is a common unifying aspect; a much shared prerogative.
